Woman enters pleas in traffic pursuit case that result in Trooper Ritger’s death

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - On Tuesday, pleas were entered in a case relating to the death of a Wisconsin State Trooper.

47-year-old Martell Nicole Tolbert Mitchell of Minneapolis, Minn. faces several charges, including eluding an officer resulting in death, second degree recklessly endangering safety and possession with intent to deliver cocaine.

In Dunn County Court, she pleaded not guilty to all of those charges.

As you may recall, Trooper Bradley Ritger died on Oct. 2 after being injured responding to a traffic chase reportedly started by Tolbert Mitchell.
