Duluthian to run against Rep. Pete Stauber again for Republican ballot spot

DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District will have a primary on the Republican side after a Duluthian filed his candidacy.
Harry Welty is rechallenging Rep. Pete Stauber.
The former Duluth School Board member has run against Stauber the last three election cycles, gaining less than 10% of the vote each time.
August’s primary election winner will advance to face Democrat Jen Schultz in November.
Minnesota’s primary election will be on Aug. 13.
