Duluth's first cat cafe to open this spring

DULUTH, MN. (Northern News Now) - The first cat cafe north of the Twin Cities will be opening in a Duluth’s Endion neighborhood this spring.
The Wired Whisker will be at the old Endion Square Children’s Center on E Superior St.
The menu will include coffee, as well as specialty teas, smoothies, beer, and wine.
They will also be offering sparkling botanicals and adaptogen add-ins like Lion’s Mane and Ashwagandha.
The Wired Whisker will brew coffee from KittyTown Coffee, an East Coast brewer, which has a mission to support animal rescues across the country.
At the cafe, they will sell retail bags of KittyTown Coffee. Every one-pound bag of coffee purchased feeds a cat from a local rescue for an entire week.
Officials say they partnered with Positively 3rd Street Bakery to bring sweet and savory food options, with plans to have food trucks frequenting the space.
In addition, they partnered with Animal Allies Humane Society to bring cats to Wired Whisker. All cats at the cafe will be fully vetted and adoptable.
The cat cafe is free to visit and other is also a cat lounge.
The cat lounge will come with a small entrance fee, but guests will be able to be with the cats. The fee covers the cost of their care, supplies, support, and lounge maintenance.
There will also be large crescent windows for guests to get a view of the cats and the space.
