Wisconsin man arrested for selling meth in Gogebic County
IRONWOOD, MI. (Northern News Now) - A Wisconsin man has been charged in Gogebic County after a drug deal investigation.
Justin James O’Dell, 35, of Eagle River, WI was charged with possession with intent to deliver meth, two counts of delivery of meth, two counts of maintaining a drug house, and deliver of meth within 1,000 feet of a park and school.
According to the Gogebic Iron Area Narcotics Team (GIANT), an investigation started in December as it was suspected O’Dell was selling meth in the Gogebic County area.
During the investigation, GIANT was able to purchase meth from O’Dell.
They also obtained information on how he was traveling out of the area to pick up larger amounts of the drug.
On Jan. 27, officers executed a search warrant on O’Dell’s vehicle during a traffic stop in Wakefield, MI. He was then arrested.
In his vehicle, officers say they found one ounce of meth with packaging supplies and a digital scale.
O’Dell is looking at up to 20 years in prison.
He is currently being held at the Gogebic County Sheriff’s Department. His bond is set at $200,000.
