Man charged with criminal vehicular homicide following Duluth hit-and-run
DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - A Superior man was arrested for criminal vehicular homicide after allegedly striking a man with his car following an argument on Wednesday. The victim later died.
According to officials, 35-year-old Alexander Logan Keller was with the victim at a home near West Reis Street and 101st Avenue West in the Gary-New Duluth neighborhood when an argument broke out.
Authorities say Keller drove away and hit the victim with his vehicle.
The victim was identified as 37-year-old Mathias Turbes.
Two neighbors found the Tubes on the road at approximately 6:31 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers tracked Keller to a home in Superior, where he was taken into custody.
According to court documents, he is expected to be extradited to Duluth for a court hearing.
