Victim identified in fatal Dunn County head-on crash
MONDAY UPDATE: The Wisconsin State Patrol has named those involved in Sunday’s deadly head-on crash in Dunn County.
Authorities say Barbara McLennan, 56, of Chetek, WI was driving southbound in a Ford F-150 truck when she pulled into the northbound lane to pass another vehicle.
At that time, she drove head-on into a Pontiac Bonneville driven by Tony Swanson, 57, of Boyceville, WI.
Swanson was killed as a result of the crash.
McLennan was taken to a nearby hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating the crash.
DUNN COUNTY, WI. (Northern News Now) - One person is dead after a fatal car crash in Dunn County Sunday.
Officials said the crash happened around 12:59 p.m. on Highway 25 near Northline Road in Dunn County.
According to State Patrol, a woman from Chetek drove her pickup truck into the oncoming lane while attempting to pass a vehicle, resulting in a head-on crash with a passenger car.
The driver of the passenger car, a man from Boyceville, was killed as a result of the crash.
The driver of the pickup truck received minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
