Kendall Jarboe joined Northern News Now as an evening news producer and reporter in May of 2020, and is now a morning anchor for KBJR 6 Today.
Kendall is from Fort Worth, Texas, where her passion for local news first began. After competing in a broadcasting event for her speech and debate team in high school, Kendall knew that this was the career for her.
She attended Biola University in Southern California and majored in broadcast journalism and minored in Spanish. During her time at Biola, she wrote for the school newspaper, reported and produced the school TV newscast and was the editor-in-chief of the student-run magazine. When she wasn't busy with student media, Kendall could be found serving coffee at the on-campus coffee shop.
Kendall interned at NBC 5/KXAS-TV in Fort Worth in 2019. She loved working on the digital news team, thrived off of the energy in the newsroom and developed her commitment to local news.
Trading in her flip flops for snow boots, Kendall is excited about her career in the Northland (and is bracing for the cold!). If you see her around Duluth, please say hello! She'll be on the hunt for the best coffee shops, hiking trails and local restaurants.
