Joey joined the Northern News Now team in June 2021 as our Assignment Editor, handling and scheduling all future happenings!
In February Joey switched gears to focus more on the production side of things and now produces and works with the morning team behind the scenes.
He's fresh out of college at the University of St. Thomas ready to learn the news ropes!
Joey earned his bachelor's degree with a journalism focus.
Joey gained news experience at TommieMedia, St. Thomas' school news outlet, working as a reporter, sports editor, and assignment editor.
While at TommieMedia, Joey's highlight was hosting one of George Floyd's and Daunte Wright's civil attorneys, Jeff Storms, in the studio.
Joey has been a Minnesota resident his whole life, born in Minnetonka, and attended Hopkins High School.
Joey is a big sports fan and loves electronic dance music.
Joey says he is "STOKED" to attend a live concert again after a year of canceled events due to the pandemic.
