Jane Nicholson

Jane joined the Northern News Now team in August 2022 and serves as one of the morning news producers!

Jane was born and raised in Minnesota, living on White Bear Lake and attending Mahtomedi High School.

She’s no stranger to Duluth; her family has a cabin in Two Harbors, allowing her to visit both areas for most of her life! She especially loves the autumn weather and colors in the Northland and hiking around the region.

Though her path to news broadcasting may have been different from others, having graduated from Colorado College in 2021 with a degree in English Literature, she has come to love her job and working in the industry! Her previous experience working as an editor for her college newspaper has helped prepare her for life in the Northern News Now newsroom and enhance her news judgement.

When she’s not working, Jane loves to read (ask her anything about Jane Austen to get her talking!), ski, cook, and have fun with family and friends.
