Sports Anchor / Reporter
Alexis Bass joined the Northern News Now sports team as a weekend sports anchor and reporter in April of 2021.
She is a 'Chicagoan' at heart, born and raised in Aurora, IL.
After attending college in Winona, Minnesota, she is fully embracing her 'Minnesotan' side as well.
She studied Mass Communications and Communication Studies at Winona State University.
Her career as a Warrior was filled with athletic events, co-hosting KQAL's radio station's sports rundown, teaching in ministry, traveling, brewing up coffee for the locals, and making a difference in the community.
In the summer of 2019, Alexis interned with KTTC/Fox47 in Rochester, Minnesota, where she covered stories in both news and sports.
Alexis's passion for sharing and playing sports has been at the forefront of her life for as long as she can remember.
She began playing volleyball at ten years old, prompting her dreams to continue playing volleyball as a collegiate athlete. She also grew up watching her family friend, Warner Saunders, represent Chicago by sharing news and making an impact behind the desk as an anchor at NBC 5.
As much as Alexis adores her Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubbies, Blackhawks, and her Warriors, she is filled with joy to have the opportunity to report on sports across the Northland and looks forward to witnessing more Minnesota miracle moments.
You can catch Alexis adventuring around town, coffee shop hopping, hiking, biking, hanging out with family and friends, and anchoring sports on the weekends.
