Kevin Moore joined the Northern News Now sports team in September of 2021.
North Carolina born but Pawtucket, RI bred.
From an early age Kevin knew he wanted to be a sports broadcaster. He started his journey to his dream at the University of Rhode Island, where he studied journalism as well as minoring in sports media.
His time at URI was filled with athletics, color commentating the University’s basketball games on the WRIU radio station as well as being an on air talent on the station from time to time.
From the fall of 2018 to the spring of 2020, Kevin interned in Providence, RI at 99.7 WPRO as a sports production assistant, WPRI/CBS12 and ABC6 where he was an intern in the sports department covering, the Boston Bruins Stanley Cup run, the New England Patriots as well as all local sports in the Rhode Island area.
Kevin’s passion for sports was always at the forefront of his life.
He grew up playing football and baseball at age 5 and continued through high school. His news growing up was SportsCenter with Stuart Scott who inspired him to work in sports.
As much as Kevin loves his, New England Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics. He is becoming a Minnesota fan and is all in on all UMD sports.
You can find Kevin, eating at the local restaurants, driving around town, walking/running and anchoring sports on the weekend.
