DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Minnesota cannabis retailers face delays in getting products after one of the state’s testing sites shut down.

Legend Technical Services stopped testing this week, saying they don’t see an economically viable way to meet their clients’ expectations. They were just one of five testing sites in Minnesota.

This is causing new problems for stores that say they’ve already been facing delays getting cannabis products.

One store owner says just about every vendor has told him they’re waiting for testing.

“We’ve already seen testing delays from the get go so vendors aren’t really giving us time frames because they are probably hearing different time frames themselves. It’s getting frustrating for everyone involved,” said William Drexler, owner of Grey Area.

Minnesota’s Office of Cannabis Management has not commented on the testing backlog.
