FAYAL TOWNSHIP, Minn. (Northern News Now) - A car crash took the life of a 28-year-old man Saturday morning in Fayal Township.

According to Eveleth Police Chief Jesse Linde, officers responded at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, the report of a one-vehicle crash on Town Line Road in Fayal Township, just south of Eveleth.

Investigation shows that the man, driving a Chevrolet truck, was traveling on Town Line Rd when the vehicle left the roadway.

The driver appeared to have lost control and rolled into a ditch on the opposite side of the road, where it struck a group of trees.

The sole occupant of the vehicle was a 28-year-old man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim’s name is being withheld pending family notification.

The Eveleth Police Department was assisted by the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, Eveleth Fire and Ambulance, and Fayal Fire.
