Duluth pub celebrates 20 years of business
DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - All-day Irish music and made-from-scratch food are on tap as Dubh Linn Irish Brew Pub celebrates St. Patrick’s Day and its 20th birthday.
Located in Downtown Duluth, the business has grown into a community staple.
Owner Mike Maxim said that the secret to having a long-standing business is the people behind it.
“The staff that works at the pub is the best anywhere,” said Maxim. “A lot of them have been around for a very long time. You know our senior staff’s been here 16 to 20 years, which is a big deal.”
The business is celebrating with its largest St. Patrick’s Day event yet.
On Saturday, March 14, attendees can sip green beer, don green beads and listen to the Twin Ports Highlanders Pipes & Drums.
On St. Patrick’s Day, the pub opens at 10 a.m., with live Irish music continuing until 9:30 p.m.
Musical acts include:
Maxim said they begin preparing more than a month in advance, with about 5,000 people expected over the two-day event.
They cook an estimated 650 to 700 pounds of corned beef for the celebration.
