Hayward, WI- On Sunday, September 18 the Northland Lodge is hosting a silent auction and dinner fundraiser for Fishing Has No Boundaries. The silent auction starts at 4 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m. There will also be adaptive fishing equipment on hand for guests to see the tools Fishing Has No Boundaries utilizes during their outings. The Hayward chapter was the first in the nation and their annual two-day fishing trip assists nearly 150 anglers with various disabilities experience fishing.

Superior, WI- The City of Superior is teaming up with the St. Louis River Alliance to host a volunteer clean-up and invasive species removal Wednesday, September 21 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Woodstock Bay. All necessary materials will be provided and no registration is needed. Volunteers can show up at the public landing and get to work. Long sleeves and waders are recommended. Woodstock Bay was adopted by the St. Louis River Alliance earlier this year and they have committed to the cleaning and improvement of the area.

Duluth, MN- A celebration fit for the ages. The St. Louis County Historical Society is celebrating 100 years Friday, September 16. Held in the Historic Union Depot’s Great Hall the event runs from 4 to 9 p.m. and organizers are calling it an informal but totally grand gathering. There will be live music, new displays, a new free book and more.
