Biwabik, MN- Honktoberfest is Saturday, September 24. The celebration is jam-packed with something for the whole family. From Dachshund Races, which have been expanded this year to fit more spectators, to an ATV Raffle and even Brewfest there is no shortage of fun to be had. Honk the Moose is a community celebrity that was the focus of a 1935 book. Honktoberfest not only celebrates him but Bavarian Oktoberfest too.

Superior, WI- The Friends of Superior Public Library will hold their annual book sale on Friday and Saturday, September 16 and 17. Items for sale include gently used books, movies, audiobooks, magazines and more. It’s the Friends’ largest fundraiser of the year. Items in the large meeting room will be available at a suggested donation price while others will be individually marked. The sale runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Ashland, WI- The Chequamegon Theatre Association will host its 50th Anniversary Celebration Saturday, September 17. The CTA is Wisconsin’s longest-running non-profit theater. Held at the Rinehart Theatre the celebration will feature performances and songs from past cast members, food and more! The 50th celebration will run from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
