CHISHOLM, MN -- The Kiwanis $15k Raffle is just around the corner and the stakes are high. Winners have the chance to take home some big prizes.

On Sept. 7, Valentini’s Supper Club on Lake Street will announce the winners of the raffle.

Tickets are $100 each and are going towards the upcoming Chisholm Splash Pad.

SUPERIOR, WI -- Superior is celebrating the new owners of the historic and iconic Eddie’s Restaurant. Founded in the late 1880s, Eddie’s Restaurant has been a staple in the community. The new owners hope to revitalize the restaurant and plan to offer more robust food and drink choices including vegetarian options. Their motto is every flavor tells a story. They are embracing the community by using local vendors to supply their restaurant and are saluting the restaurant and Twin Ports history.

DULUTH, MN -- UMD students are returning to campus.

The school’s Residence Life Department has 2,000 new students scheduled to move in Aug. 24 and 25.

Students have a number of welcome events on their agenda through the weekend, giving them a chance to meet their classmates before school starts on Monday.

Housing and residence life navigated construction around Duluth to ensure a smooth transition for new students.

Welcome Week is set to last until Sunday.
