Duluth Denfeld Football Continues to Build Under Head Coach Lofald
DULUTH, MN. (KBJR) - It’s about that time folks, Minnesota high schools have finally started their high school football seasons around the state and our first training camp stop is with the Duluth Denfeld Hunters.
After a disappointing season last year, head coach Erik Lofald is remaining positive noting some of the strides they took as a program, and is hopeful they can use that to build and progress through this upcoming season, using the Hunters mantra -- zero excuses.
“It’s cliche but records don’t really define who we were as a team. We look at it from a standpoint as a staff we’re in year four and we took some really good strides as a group,” said head coach Erik Lofald.
“The seniors who left here definitely left the program in a good spot. Every year we’re looking to keep building. Fall is football in Duluth and Public School Stadium is one of the most iconic stadiums in the state to play football, always has been always will be. It’s our home field the clock towers in the background say the home of the Hunters, “D” Hunters logo in the middle of the field, this is our home, and want to make this community proud,” Lofald added.
Hunters open up the season on September 2nd, at home against Esko.
