DULUTH, MN. (KBJR) - As the first week of training camp rolled on into Wisconsin, we headed to Northwestern where one of the most storied programs in Northwest Wisconsin is back at work.

The 16-time Heart O’ North champions began training camp Tuesday and are coming off yet another undefeated conference schedule, but fell to Ellsworth in the level 3 playoffs, but it’s a new year and now the 2022 Northwestern Tigers have their eyes on the road to camp Randall.

Head coach Jovin Kroll is taking things day by day, but with a strong tradition, the Tigers have a lot to look forward to in 2022.

“The traditional aspect of Northwestern football is great for player accountability, players feel it coaches feel it, people in the community want to hold our kids to be accountable like successful groups of the past, so we’ll see where things go,” said Kroll.

“We’ve created a brotherhood over these last 8 years and hopefully going back 9-0, it’s a tough thing to do, but I think we’re ready to do it,” Sedin.

The Tigers open up their season on Friday, August 19th at home, the only way, against Ashland.
