DULUTH, MN. (KBJR) - The Duluth Huskies are officially more than halfway through the Northwoods League season where they have already secured a spot in the playoffs, but there’s plenty of competition left and Sunday welcomed the St. Cloud Rox who are also division champions.

The Huskies broke open the scoring in the bottom of the second to take the 2-0 lead.

However, at the top of the fifth, with bases loaded, the Rox found answers matching the Huskies two runs to tie it up.

Fast forward through the ninth, it was the Rox who sped up winning game 1 of the series 5-3.

Georgia Tech freshman, Kristian Campbell put up his 31st RBI of the 2022 season.

The navy and white will look to flip the script on Monday night in order to avoid their first ever sweep at home this season.

First pitch is set for 6:35 pm at Wade Stadium.
