2 teens arrested after Canal Park, Central Hillside shootings

DULUTH, MN -- Two teenagers are in custody after a shooting in Canal Park Wednesday night and another shots fired incident in the Central Hillside neighborhood over the weekend.
Duluth Police responded to the 300 block of Lake Avenue South in Canal Park around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.
One person who had been shot in the leg was taken to the hospital.
Around 1:30 p.m. Thursday, police arrested a 15 and 17 year old, both from Duluth.
Police said the suspects and victims were known to each other and these were not random acts of violence.
Police determined they were also allegedly involved in a shots fired call on Saturday on the 400 block of East 7th St.
No one was hurt in that incident.
Police have not identified the suspects or the victim.
No word on the victim’s condition as of Thursday night.
DULUTH, MN. (KBJR) - An individual was shot in the leg in Canal Park near Green Mill Wednesday night.
According to officials, police responded to reports of a shooting around 9:30 p.m.
When they got to the scene, there was an individual with a gunshot wound in the lower leg.
As of 10:30 p.m., there was no suspect in custody, but police say the parties are known to each other and they believe they know who the suspect is.
