Potentially record-breaking heat today, some heat indices in the 100s!
TODAY: Heat returns to the Northland today with clear skies and highs reaching the low to mid 90s for most locations. Heat indices reach the upper 90s to low 100s, so make sure to drink plenty of water and stay in air conditioning as much as possible! In addition, a cold front will bring scattered t-storms late tonight into early tomorrow, mainly for northern MN. A couple of these storms may be severe, with the main threats being large hail and strong winds.
TUESDAY: Some areas will still see hot temperatures, mainly in NW WI. Highs reach the 80s in MN to low 90s in NW WI. Winds will be gusty out of the west at 10-20 MPH. A slight chance for scattered t-storms continues overnight into early Wednesday.
WEDNESDAY: We finally cool down a little bit with highs in the 70s and 80s and mostly clear to partly cloudy skies.
