DULUTH, MN-- Duluth students had a chance to see what their futures could look like in medical school Thursday.
The U of M Duluth Medical Campus hosted students from Denfeld and East High Schools Thursday.
The group took a tour around the campus and participated in hands-on activities to learn about medicine and research.
The event is put on by the NAACP and Duluth Public Schools.
Dr. Pedro Fernandez-Funez, an associate professor in the Medical School, Duluth campus says, “The focus of the event is to bring students from underserved districts and students of color from Duluth, and show them they have a future in our Medical School.”
