MINNEAPOLIS, MN. (KBJR) - The Minnesota Timberwolves have advanced to the first round of the NBA Playoffs after a narrow win over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Anthony Edwards finished with 30 points to lead Minnesota to a 109-104 win. D’Angelo Russell added some huge fourth-quarter shots and had 29 points as well. They advance out of the Western Conference Play-In Tournament, and into the first round of the playoffs to take on the two seed Memphis Grizzlies.
Karl-Anthony Towns fouled out early in the fourth quarter, after a quiet first half by his standards. He finished with 11 points total.
It will be the first playoff appearance for the Timberwolves since 2018.
Game one between the Grizzlies and Timberwolves is scheduled for Saturday afternoon in Memphis.
