Duluth Pack kicks off Arbor Day campaign to plant more trees
DULUTH, MN-- “Buy A Pack, We Give Back,” launched Tuesday as Arbor Day is approaching.
For every Duluth Pack manufactured product sold company-wide, the apparel company and the Minnesota DNR will plant a tree in Northern Minnesota.
This is the 5th year the two are partnering for this Arbor Day project.
“Duluth Pack is committed to our Northland roots, and working with the DNR to plant tens of thousands of trees and counting has been an inspiring way to give back to our community,” said Tom Sega, Duluth Pack’s President and CEO.
Together, the collaboration hopes to celebrate the planting of nearly 20,000 trees planted in Minnesota since 2018.
This year’s goal is to plant more than 5,000 trees.
“Past projects have helped restore the iconic eastern white pine to the landscape and diversify our ash forests, making them more resilient to the invasive emerald ash borer. This partnership gives back to Minnesota’s forests and celebrates the importance of trees,” said Mike Reinikainen, Silviculture Program Coordinator with the DNR.
The month-long promotion runs from April 12 to May 31.
