WISCONSIN-- Health leaders in Wisconsin are urging spring breakers to take extra COVID precautions before, during and after their travels.
Adding although COVID numbers are down, we are not out of the woods yet.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) says when planning to head out of state, it’s a good idea to get tested after returning home if you’ve been to a location with high COVID-19 community levels.
“It is important to remember that you can continue to wear a well-fitting mask or respirator at any time if it makes you or others feel safer,” said DHS Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ryan Westergaard.
“Traveling increases your risk of being exposed to COVID-19.”
