Bitter cold temperatures returning tonight

AFTERNOON/TONIGHT: This afternoon we will continue to have mostly sunny skies. Tonight the skies will remain mostly clear and the winds will calm down. This will allow temperatures to tumble back into the teens and 20′s below zero. A few lake effect flurries before midnight will be possible for Iron and Gogebic counties.

FRIDAY: Friday we will start out partly cloudy, but clouds will quickly build back in. Highs will be in the single digits and lower teens with winds out of the west 5-10mph. Friday night we will have mostly cloudy skies and lows around 0°.

SATURDAY: Saturday we will see mostly cloudy to partly sunny skies as a clipper passes to our north. Some light snow will be possible across the International Border and throughout most of Cook County. Highs will be in the lower 20′s with SSW winds 5-10mph.

SUNDAY: Sunday we will have mostly sunny skies with high pressure in place. Highs will be in the upper teens and lower 20′s with northwest winds. Some lake effect snow will be possible for the Snow-Belt region along the South Shore.
