Beltrami County teen dies of COVID-19

BEMIDJI, MN -- A Beltrami County teen has died of COVID-19.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health’s case update Friday, the person was between 15 and 19 years old.
They are the third Minnesota resident in that age group to die of the virus.
State health data did not share where the person lived or if they were vaccinated.
Beltrami County has now reported 100 COVID-19 deaths since the pandemic began.
They also reported 56 new COVID cases Friday, which brings the county’s total number of cases to 8,251.
The state of Minnesota reported 5,685 new cases Friday and 62 new deaths.
