Red Curtains Go Up as Part of Annual Holiday Display in Duluth
DULUTH, MN. (KBJR 6) -It’s starting to look a lot like the holidays in downtown Duluth.
Today nearly 20 businesses all across Duluth hung red curtains in their windows.
It’s part of the Greater Downtown Council’s annual tradition.
The red curtains will hide the work employees are doing to decorate their storefronts for the holidays.
Kristi Stokes, the President of the Greater Downtown Council, said this is a fun way to attract people to local business and get everyone in the holiday spirit.
“This is just a fun thing, a fun way for us to build some excitement for the downtown and canal park and a way for our business to showcase their storefronts and have a little bit of fun with each other,” said Stokes.
The curtains will be dropped, and the storefronts revealed Friday just before the Christmas City of the North Parade.
