COVID-19 cases continue climbing in Minnesota and Wisconsin

DULUTH, MN. (KBJR) -MN/WI-- COVID cases in Minnesota are still on the rise.

Monday, the state reported 4,253 new cases. That’s the highest single-day total since December 2020.

That brings the state’s total case count to 819,239.

The state also reported 34 more deaths Monday, bringing the death toll to 8,862.

990 people are in the hospital with 227 in the ICU.

Wisconsin reported 2,193 new cases Monday, bringing the total count to 809,840.

14 more people died which puts the overall death toll at 8,627.

The state hasn’t reported new hospital data since last week.
