911 outage restored for Fredenberg Township, Island Lake areas

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MN (KBJR) UPDATE -- According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s office, repairs have been made and the outages for Fredenberg Township and Island Lake areas have been restored.

These outages were impacting anyone trying to contact 911.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MN -- St. Louis County leaders are warning residents about a 911 emergency line outage impacting the Fredenberg Township and Island Lake areas.

As of 2:30 p.m. Monday, officials said this could be part of a larger telephone outage in the same area.

Phone companies are looking into the situation.

For anyone needing an emergency response, if they have any phone service, they should call the 911 non-emergency line at 218-625-3581.

The other option is to go to the Fredenberg Township fire hall at 6367 Lavaque Road.

The fire department has called in staff to be ready to help until 911 service is restored.
